| SFS Holding AG is the holding company of the SFS Group. Its origins are to be found in the hardware business established in Altstätten (Canton St. Gall/Switzerland) in 1928.
The branch in Heerbrugg was opened in 1949.
The formation of SFS Stadler AG as a public limited company and the establishment of SFS Presswerk Heerbrugg AG, the cold forming production company. took place in the years 1957 to 1960.
The SFS Group began to establish an international network of market organisations in 1971. Manufacturing operations in France, England, Italy, the USA and the Czech Republic followed.
The SFS Group was combined under the corporate umbrella of SFS Holding AG in 1993. This provided the group with an appropriate, modern and forward-looking organisational structure.
Since January 1, 2002, the SFS Group has operated through four group companies:
SFS intec, SFS unimarket, SFS Locher and SFS services.
